Dagmawe Tewedros Secondary School
As part of the Raise Your Voice initiative, Avondale has adopted a sister school in Ethiopia. The purpose of this project is to build an international network of schools that discusses world issues with each other, and, in doing so, breaks down barriers of misconception and builds relationships with people around the world. We are working on including a school from Afghanistan and Sudan in the project.
In the summer of 2008, three faculty members went to Ethiopia to bring much needed school supplies and to train teachers and students on the new technologies brought.
