Raise Your Voice

Now in its fourth year, Raise Your Voice is a group founded by faculty and students at Avondale. Our goal is to increase awareness and invite meaningful discussion regarding a variety of social justice issues. By way of town hall presentations, round table discussions, newsletters, guest speakers and various other activities, political, social, economical, gender and equality-related issues are discussed. Putting words into action, various student-organized activities raise awareness in the community at large. In addition to the conference, our students have organized various activities and peaceful protests and rallies in the city to raise awareness on issues such as the genocide in Darfur, poverty, and global human rights.
