Catherine Porter

Catherine Porter is a columnist and award-winning journalist with The Toronto Star. Her news column appears three times a week on topics ranging from women’s rights in post-earthquake Haiti to community building in Dufferin Grove Park. At the Star, she written features and covered city politics and environmental issues. She travelled to Haiti eight times last year and with readers’ cheques, enrolled more than 300 people in school for the year.
